Richard has been successfully administering sound financial guidance and wealth management strategies for his clients since he started his career in 1975!
Richard has obtained and sustains three professional designations: Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®). He also holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Kestra Financial and the Florida life, health, and variable products license. Additionally, Richard is an Investment Adviser Representative of Kestra Fiinancial, Member FINRA/SIPC. Richard is also a proud alumnus of the University of Florida, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration—GO GATORS!
Richard is a charter member of PACE (Professional Achievement in Continuing Education), and he is affiliated with the Jacksonville chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, where he once served as president. Richard is also a former president of the Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary Club and served on the board of the Beaches Museum and History Park. In addition, Richard shares his financial expertise by conducting seminars at the University of North Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville. Living at the beach, Richard provides support to local surf contests and charities by being a proud member of The Wavemasters Society.
Personal
Richard is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida! He grew up in the Jacksonville Beach community and currently lives in Ponte Vedra with his beautiful wife of over 50 years, Hope. Richard and Hope shared the enjoyment of raising two amazing kids! Their daughter Elizabeth relishes in the Jacksonville Beach lifestyle just like her parents, while their son Greg resides in San Diego, California, enjoying the surfing lifestyle on the West Coast! Richard and Hope are also proud grandparents to grandson Declan and loving every moment!
Richard has an appreciation for the ocean, and he thrives in riding the waves he loves! He has been surfing for years and has now taken on a new challenge in stand-up paddle boarding (SUP)! Richard loves to golf, but is by no means a scratch golfer! He enjoys hitting the greens and perfecting his game at the numerous golf courses that can be found at home in Jacksonville and in the Colorado area where he spends time in the summer. Richard and Hope love to travel and have created a lifetime of memories during their excursions throughout the world.
